Opening night in Victoria

Last month my sister, Meg Tilly, starred in a production of "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?" in Victoria. My sister, Jennifer Tilly, and I were both there for opening night. Meg's performance as Martha practically brought me to my knees. Andrew Wheeler (George) gave a powerful performance and the other two members of the cast, Celine Stubel (Honey) and Alex Plouffe (Nick) were excellent in their parts. Director, Brian Richmond, pulled the whole thing together beautifully.

As a topper to a wonderful evening, Michael D. Reid, wrote a piece for the Times Colonist on opening night, and I got my picture in the paper along with a mention of my website. How exciting! Check it out...

Significant birthday today...

Birthdays are funny, you don't look different, you don't feel different overnight, and yet, there is the inexorable pull towards the night. Whether I enjoy my life on this earth for another 10 years or 50 years, eternal sleep awaits.

I'm not ready to sleep yet, and I won't be until the moment I close my eyes for the final time. What happens after that, I do not know for sure. Darkness, eternal light, soul transformation, reincarnation, karmic resolution, heavenly delights? I can believe, but the knowing eludes me.

Happy birthday to me. Time to enjoy my day!

Website up! More paintings on the way!

At last! Finally my website is up and running! I've been working hard this last year to build up my body of work, so I have quite a few paintings waiting in the wings. Check back every few days, as I will be adding new paintings several times a week, and even every day when I can manage it. I hope you enjoy the show! ~ Becky ~

Thanks to everyone who has stopped by and enquired about my paintings. I am presently working like mad to finish them up and get my website up and running. This whole process involves a lot more than I had anticipated! But I'm getting there. ETA is August 1, 2011 at the latest. Of course you can check back any time, but my website will be far more colourful after August 1st!
